일대 귀족
마거릿 대처는 1992년 영국 총선에서 하원의원직에서 물러난 뒤 종신 재직권을 받았다.이로써 그녀는 상원에 자리를 잡을 수 있었다.그녀는 링컨셔 카운티에서 케스티븐의 대처 남작부인이라는 칭호를 받았다.그녀는 보수당 의원들과 함께 앉았다.
