macOS 몬테레이(버전 12)는 애플의 매킨토시 컴퓨터용 데스크톱 운영 체제인 macOS의 18번째 주요 릴리스입니다.맥OS 빅수르의 후속작으로 2021년 6월 7일 WWDC 2021에서 [3][4][5][6]발표되어 2021년 10월 25일에 [7][8]출시되었으며, 맥OS 몬테레이의 뒤를 이어 2022년 10월 24일에 출시된 맥OS 벤투라.

운영 체제는 2013년 10.9 매버릭스 이후 캘리포니아 지역의 이름을 딴 출시 추세를 이어가며 몬터레이 베이의 이름을 따왔습니다.

macOS 몬테레이는 2015-2017 맥북 에어, 레티나 맥북 프로, 2014 맥 미니 및 원통형 맥 프로를 지원하는 macOS의 최종 버전으로, 후속 모델인 macOS Ventura는 이러한 모델에 대한 지원을 중단했습니다.
