슬링백은 발목과 발뒤꿈치의 뒷부분과 옆부분만을 가로지르는 발목 스트랩이 특징인 여성용 신발의 한 종류이며, 반면 전형적인 스트랩은 발목을 완전히 감싸고 있다.전형적인 풀 슈즈 힐과 비슷한 낮은 앞부분을 가지고 있습니다.

슬링백은 샌들의[1] 한 종류로 여겨질 수 있으며 캐주얼에서 드레시까지 다양한 스타일로 출시됩니다. 굽 높이는 플랫에서 중간, 때로는 높은 [2][3]힐 타입으로 스틸레토만큼 얇고 웨지만큼 두껍고 닫힌 형태이거나 열린 [4][5][6][7]형태일 수 있습니다.

슬링백 스트랩은 일반적으로 버클이나 탄성 세그먼트를 통해 조정 가능하며, 착용자는 비교적 안전하게 발을 샌들에 고정시키면서 스트랩이나 버클을 추가로(또는 어떤) 수동으로 조정할 필요 없이 샌들 안으로 발을 쉽게 미끄러뜨릴 수 있습니다.버클은 금속, 플라스틱, 심지어 [8]돌로 만들어질 수도 있다.
