분자생물학에서 SNORD15(U15라고도 함)는 다른 작은 핵 RNA(snRNA)의 수정에서 기능하는 비코딩 RNA(ncRNA) 분자다.이러한 유형의 수정 RNA는 보통 snRNA 생물 발생의 주요 부위인 진핵 세포의 핵에 위치한다.소핵 RNA(snoRNA)로 알려져 있으며, 가이드 RNA라고도 한다.

U15는 C 박스(UGUGAUGA)와 D 박스(CUGA)로 알려진 보존 시퀀스 모티브를 포함하는 snoRNA의 C/D 박스 등급에 속한다.박스 C/D 계열의 대부분의 구성원은 기질 RNA의 현장 고유 2'-O-메틸화를 지시하는 기능을 한다.[1]U15는 28S 리보솜 RNA(rRNA) 잔류물 A3764의 2'O-리보오스 메틸화를 안내할 것으로 예상된다.[2][3]

인간에게는 U15 snoRNA(SNORD15A와 SNORD15B라고 함)의 두 개의 밀접한 관련성이 있는 사본이 있다.그것들은 둘 다 리보솜 단백질 S3의 인트로 암호화되어 있다.[4]Xenopus laevis에서는 리보솜 단백질 S1의 인트론 안에 위치한다.

아라비도피스 탈리아나[6] 쌀 오리자 사티바와 다른 식물의 snoR75는 대안으로 U15로 알려져 있으며, 상당히 짧은 시퀀스 길이에도 불구하고 관련이 있는 것으로 보인다.[7]
