닛산 마그나이트는 닛산이 제조한 준중형 크로스오버 SUV다. 2020년 10월 공개된 마그나이트는 닛산의 글로벌 SUV 라인업에서 킥스 아래에 배치돼 전 세계에서 가장 작은 닛산 크로스오버 SUV가 된다.[2] 인도 첸나이에서 제조된 이 차는 이후 선보인 르노 키거와 같은 플랫폼을 사용, 인도에서 4m 이하 크로스오버 SUV 부문을 점유하고 있다. 이 자동차는 인도네시아와 남아프리카를 포함한 전세계 몇 개의 신흥 시장으로 수출된다.[3][4]
"마그나이트"라는 이름은 "자석"과 "ignite"[5]라는 단어의 포트만토다.
개요
사전제작
개발 단계에서는 마그나이트가 다트선 마르케의 플래그십 SUV로 계획되었다.[6][7] 그러나 다트선 마크가 단종될 예정이어서 마그나이트는 개발 마지막 단계에서 닛산 브랜드로 넘겨졌다. 2019년 12월 인도에서는 2019년 4월부터 '다트선 마그나이트'라는 명칭이 상표권을 부여받았고,[8][9] 이어 2020년 3월 '닛산 마그나이트'라는 명칭이 상표권을 갖게 된 사실이 밝혀졌다.[10] 이 차량은 2020년 2월 사이드 뷰 실루엣 형태로 처음 시사회됐다.[11] 콘셉트 버전은 2020년 7월 17일 마그나이트 콘셉트로 사실상 공개됐다.[12]
생산모델
생산 모델은 2020년 10월 21일에 공개되었고, 생산은 2020년 10월 30일에 시작되었다.[13][14] 2020년 12월 2일 인도에서 발사되었고,[15] 12월 21일 인도네시아가 그 뒤를 이었다.[16]
차량은 CMF-A+ 플랫폼이라고 하는 확장된 버전의 CMF-A 플랫폼에 구축되어 있다. 이 플랫폼은 르노 트리버와 키거의 밑받침도 된다.[17]
