갭 접합 알파-4 단백질은 코넥신-37 또는 Cx37로도 알려져 있으며, 인간에게 GJA4유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질이다.[5][6][7]이 단백질은 다른 코넥신 단백질과 마찬가지로 갭 접합이라고 알려진 세포들 사이의 연결을 형성한다.코넥신 37은 난소,[8]심장,[9]신장을 포함한 많은 조직에서 발견될 수 있다.[10]
