Citrin은 또한 solute carrier family 25, 멤버 13 (citrin) 또는 SLC25A13으로 알려져 있으며, 인간에게 SLC25A13 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질이다.[1]

시트린은 시트린 결핍증(NICCD)으로 인해 발생하는 타입 II 시트라울린혈증[2][3][4] 및 신생아 내 발열성 결손증과 관련이 있다.

비타민-P를 언급할 때 Citrin이라는 용어는 레몬에서 가장 활동적인 바이오플라보노이드였는데, Eriodictyol인 것으로 밝혀졌다(그러나 수십 년 후에 보다 활동적인 형태 구성원이 그곳에서 발견되었다).
